The Office of Vice President Sara Duterte has opened satellite offices in six regions across the country.,In a Facebook post, the Vice President said putting up satellite offices aims to make the services of her office more accessible to Filipinos.,“We opened satellite offices in different parts of the country to help our fellow citizens get easier and immediate access to the services of the Office of the Vice President,” Duterte explained.,The OVP satellite offices were set up in the cities of Dagupan, Cebu, Tacloban, Zamboanga, Davao, and Tandag in Surigao del Sur.,Duterte had previously announced it prior to her oath-taking on 19 June.,Though she will have to spend most of her weekdays in Metro Manila, Duterte, concurrently Education Secretary, will continue living in her hometown, Davao City.,Her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, went home to Davao on weekends.,Inside the facility of the Department of Public Works and Highways in Panacan, Davao City, the elder Duterte had also maintained a presidential office.,,Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo had likewise opened an office in Cebu called the Malacañang sa Sugbo.
